Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The fried chicken was amazing. It tastes as if it was not only marinated but also well seasoned. Very flavorful. I like the fries too. I'm not big on saucy fries but they too were good! My wife ordered the carne asada. It was very flavorful too. The portions were phenomenal as were the prices! I look forward to coming back to try other dishes!"
"Started with pupusas appetizer (1 bean and cheese and 1 cheese, bean, pork). It was good, preferred the bean and cheese. Ordered the Empanadas entree, very good, needs sauce/salsa in my opinion, though. With the creamy sauce from shaddai it was excellent. Ordered super shaddai (4 piece fried chicken) with prepared fries (fries with sauces) and both charro and black beans. Also ordered the Russian salad (carrots either dressing). The chicken was soooo delicious. Super crispy and flavorful. Not greasy. I am pretty picky on fried chicken and this is the best in the area. Hubby agrees! Would skip the Russian salad, not much flavor; needs acid and spice. Hubby loved the saucy fries but I’d have preferred them plain and dipped them in the sauces for the shaddai, which had a creamy spicy sauce that I loved. Plain red Salsa was ok. Loved the verde salsa. Also ordered the cantaloupe melon again fresca and horchata - the horchata was a bit too sweet for me but I just watered it down a little and it was fine. The cantaloupe agua Fresca was delicious! Definitely try it! So fresh and lovely, just enough lime. Will definitely be back, want to try the enchiladas and soup and tacos. A great secret of Fairfield, try it!"
"My wife and I shared Shaddai Loco, Camarones a la Plancha and added a side of Frijoles Charros and Rice. Spectacular!!! Jazmin (our very attentive server) provided excellent service. Jordan, the owner stopped by to check on us and we had a nice conversation. All in all a great experience."
"Fantastic little place! I found it while looking for food around the area and decided to take the risk and try it. It was so worth it, food was amazing and service was great. All employees were very nice. I got the Al pastor and chicken street tacos with a side of beans and my friend got the chicken tacos with a side of rice. We also got the chips and queso which was fantastic. If you're in the area, give it a try! There is no alcohol though for those wanting margaritas."
"Best fried chicken I ever ate! I really recommend the. Chicken Shaddai is to die for. Wait staff polite and friendly. Love the fries with there mayo ,ketchup and green pepper sauce. It spicy but not terribly hot. Got in quickly and was seated right away. Food price was very reasonable for the high quality of the food. I will come here again. Loved it!!!!!!!! Great restaurant"
"Wow. I think this is the best fried chicken I've ever had. The beans and rice were great too. The fries were good, but needed more crisp. I wish there was a side option for a fresh salad with pico because it would have been a good fresh addition to the meal. Overall really liked the food and will be back."
"I was told a small Guatemalan restaurant had the best fried chicken in Cincinnati by some people at work. I can confirm. This place is fantastic. The chicken. Amazing. Hot. Flavorful. Perfection! The fries were next level as well. The sauces they throw on them make them spicy and tasty. The charro beans were great as well. 100% if you’re thinking about stopping here you need to."
"Came in for a late lunch and was very impressed! Not a huge menu, but more than enough variety. Portion sizes are generous and pricing is moderate. I'll be back!"
